Spice up your campaign with some COLOR!

posted by Charles on April 1st, 2008

With our most recent release, one piece of feedback that we got from our users was that they didn’t like the colors…. it wasn’t surprising to hear as pink and brown are probably not everyone’s first choice of color. However, some people LOVED the colors and claimed the site wouldn’t be as cool without them… so what to do?

At first we weren’t sure what to do, but taking a hint from our friends at Apple, instead of deciding between our beloved “strawberry” theme and new colors… we went ahead and simply added more!! Now you can enjoy some new themes (don’t worry, we still have the original). Check them out!

and for the adventurous… Sherbert

To change your campaign colors, all you have to do is “Edit Profile” and choose the theme you like! That’s it! Love them? Hate them? Let us know what you think.

Is going out on Valentine’s day a good idea for a first date?

posted by Keyvan on February 20th, 2008

So another Valentine’s Day has come and gone. One question I commonly hear asked is whether V-day would be a good choice to go out with someone on a first date. More often than not, the response I hear back is a resounding NO! Too much pressure on both sides of the table, lots of implications for how much each person is interested in the other, and just a whole lot of unneeded stress all around.

What’s your take on it? Ever go on a good or bad first date on Valentine’s and live to see the truth?

Drumroll please… site updates!

After months of hard work, we’ve got some great updates to the site we wanted to share with you. Here are but a few:

  • Looks Sometimes Do Count - We’ve got a brand spanking new homepage and a slew of other small interface upgrades we know you’ll love
  • We’re Compatible! - Not just in finding mates, but with Internet Explorer and Safari now too
  • Learn the Art of Matchmaking - New demo movies show site overviews and describe the different parts of a campaign
  • Add Some Color to your Romance - Customize your profiles with new color skins
  • Take Control of Your Love Life - Datetakers can now veto content on their campaigns submitted by their contributors

Take a look and let us know what you think. Any suggestions for future improvements? Post a comment!

We’re blogging for love

Welcome to the IsACatch.com blog! My name’s Keyvan and I’m one of the founders of IsACatch. The IsACatch team and I are going to use this blog to talk about our site, and more importantly how we’ve been using IsACatch to find dates for our friends (or in my case, get put on dates by my friends :). I’m kinda the guinea pig for IsACatch, which is fine by me, because what better way to test out the site than by meeting some of the lovely ladies out there? We’ll use this blog to share dating stories, matchmaking tips, the occasional feature update, and all things love.
